Through

 "It's up to us to be faithful. It's up to God to reach down and turn the mundane into the divine, the ordinary into the miraculous, the routine into the extraordinary."

This picture hangs on the wall of our living room. It's Peanut's favorite picture. She asks me all the time. "Remember that day Mama? Tell me the story."
And I tell her the story of how she grew in my heart LONG before she grew in my body, and then was placed in my arms. Where she continues to reside a good bit of the day.
She was born at the tail end of winter. Easter weekend. Just as spring started to peek out.
The thing about spring is you don't really notice it's arrival without winter (us GA folks are having a hard time finding the seasons this year it seems). You need the dark, the cold, the dreary to really recognize those simple signs of spring. The first flower that blooms. The first warm spring afternoon. The first bird that returns to the feeder.
To notice spring, you have to experience winter.
With the Peanut's birth came this long winter of a health trial.
It's been a challenge to choose to find the joy in her infant/toddler/preschool years. It's hard to see the spring sometimes in the depth of the winter.
When you pass through the waters,
I will be with you;
and when you pass through the rivers,
they will not sweep over you.
When you walk through the fire,
you will not be burned;
the flames will not set you ablaze. Isiah 43: 2
THROUGH
When you pass THROUGH...........this idea of through means movement. In the midst of the trial, there is movement. God is growing and changing me.
THROUGH also means there is another side.
When you go THROUGH the winter, you find the spring.
I keep waiting for winter to show signs it's gone forever. That spring is here to stay. But just like the weather, there are these occasional winter days that reappear. Reminding me that we are still in the THROUGH.
Mama Warriors, sometimes we feel stagnant. Stuck. Remember we aren't stuck as long as we are choosing to let Him lead us THROUGH.
